A man is dead after being shot multiple times in front of 336 Adams Street in Dorchester. At approximately 22:43 hours Boston Police Officers from District C-11 responded to a ShotSpotter activation for 10 rounds, and shortly after began receiving calls for a person shot.
First arriving officers located an adult male, who has not been identified at this time, suffering from what appeared to be multiple gun shot wounds. Boston EMS quickly arrived on scene and packaged the patient for transport to a local area hospital. It was at the hospital that the man tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Full notifications were made and Detectives from C-11, the Homicide Unit, and the Crime Scene Response Unit were called in. Ballistic damage could clearly be scene in the front of the residence as well as a number of evidence markers in the bushes to the side of the home.
At this time no arrests have been made and the Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
