Last night Boston Police Officers, Detectives, Command Staff were all ordered with the expectation of a large scale protest and civil unrest. National Guard assets and State Police and regional assistance from other departments were also available. The protest ended up only being a few hundred strong with no real route or plan of events.
They marched seemingly aimlessly around the city before ending up at City Hall Plaza. No arrests were made and no Officers were injured. Boston EMS also were on standby but they were luckily not needed. Overall a great response by BPD, their partners and all involved.
