Thanksgiving Eve Shooting in OP Sends Man to Hospital

Last night shortly before 0000 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to numerous ShotSpotter activations for 9 rounds in the area of Degauthier Way and Shabazz Way in the Orchard Park Projects.

On arrival Officers located ballistic damage to a motor vehicle, and a home and after a canvas of the area, located numerous spent shell casings. Detectives were called to the scene and began processing the evidence.

While on scene the local security company was able to provide video of the incident, identifying two subjects who were involved as well as a motor vehicle fleeing the area. A BOLO was issued for the vehicle.

Shortly after this Officers were alerted to a walk-in gun shot victim at Boston Medical Center. The victim confirmed he had been shot in the OP incident however was unwilling to cooperate further. The man’s injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening at this time, additionally no further updates are available at this time.
