Early this morning, approximately 01:20 hours, units from Boston Police District B-2 as well as Troopers from the Mass State Police on-sighted shots fired in the area of Columbia Road and Stoughton Street in front of the infamous Dublin House and the underground night club run that is run out of the same building. After hearing the shots, officers immediately radioed in the call and ran towards the sound of the gunfire.
Units were unable to locate the shooter, but they did quickly find an adult male victim suffering from numerous gun shot wounds. Without hesitation, they immediately began to render aid, applying multiple tourniquets and holding pressure on the man’s wounds while they waited for EMS to arrive. Their actions ultimately led to saving the man’s life, leaving them and their patrol car covered in blood.
When EMTs and Paramedics arrived, they transported the man to local area trauma center with serious, life threatening injuries. Due to the severity of injuries, full notifications were made and Homicide Unit Detectives and the Crime Scene Response Unit responded to the scene. Thankfully, the victim’s condition improved and the case was kicked back to the district detectives.
Multiple spent shell casings were located both in front of the Dublin house as well as the driveway that leads to the rear of the building. Detects processed the scene photographing and collecting evidence.
