Bomb Scare on Summer Street Yesterday Evening

Last night at approximately 19:30 hours Boston Police Officers from District A-1 were alerted to a suspicious packaged in the are of 245 Summer Street. The large box had been awkwardly left near the Fidelity Building and out of an abundance of caution, the area was evacuated and an EOD K9 as well as the Boston Bomb Squad were called in to investigate it.

A quick K-9 sweep as well as a few diagnostic procedures determined that the package was not a threat, just a brand new flat screen TV. MGH security, Transit Police, and Massachusetts State Police were also on scene to assist. The area was reopened to the public and nothing further is available at this time.
