Late Wednesday night, Massachusetts State Troopers responded to the area of Morton Street and Fairmount Street, in Dorchester, for reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a car and moped.
Boston Fire responded, and Boston EMS was also called in, eventually transporting the moped operator to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
State Troopers are actively investigating the cause of the crash, but no charges have been made at this time and no further information is available.
