14 Year Old Shot in Connection to Dorchester Shooting Friday

Friday morning, at approximately 11:15 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Alpha Road, in Dorchester.

Officers arrived on scene and met with multiple witnesses who didn’t report seeing anything. Despite no confirmation from witnesses, officers went on to locate multiple spent shell casings as well as ballistic damage to at least one vehicle. Detectives were called into the scene to photograph ballistic damage and process evidence.

Roughly an hour after the scene had been cleared, a 14-year-old female self presented to Carney Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm. She had attempted to self treat, but eventually needed medical care. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. At this time there have been no arrests in connection to the incident and no suspects at this time.
