Boston Fire Responds to Visible Flames From Multifamily in Roxbury

On Monday, November 15, at approximately 14:45 hours Boston Fire Department responded to 89 Monroe Street in Roxbury for reports of a fire.

On arrival, responding apparatuses saw flames coming from the upper floors of a multi-family structure, and called for a second alarm.

It appears the fire began on the third floor, and quickly spread to the attic of the building.

Within 30 minutes, Boston Fire was able to knock down the blaze. Five residence were displaced as a result.
