South End Car Stop Ends in Firearm Arrest

At about 11:32 PM, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) conducted a traffic stop in the area of 1855 Washington Street in Boston that resulted in the arrest of Christian Fauntleroy, 25, of Dorchester on firearm related charges.

While on patrol in the area, officers observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark tinted windows and no front license plate attached, traveling on Northampton Street.

After a CJIS query of the motor vehicle, it was revealed that the registration had been revoked, therefore, the motor vehicle would need to be towed.  Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and safely stopped the motor vehicle.   

Officers recovered a loaded firearm with one round in the chamber and thirteen rounds in the magazine from under the passenger seat. Christian Fauntleroy was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
