Gang Unit Gun Arrest While Doing Violence SUPPRESSION In Roxbury

About 6:10 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021, Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm arrest of Ronald Rogers, 18, of Cambridge, in the area of Warren Street and Clifford Street. Officers were in the area of Warren Street when they observed a vehicle operating with heavily tinted windows. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Upon making contact with the operator, officers could not see inside of the vehicle due to the heavy tint on the windows. 

Officers requested the windows be rolled down and could observe in plain sight a firearm. Rogers was removed from the vehicle and placed into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded marijuana packaged for distribution.   The firearm was determined to be a black 9mm “Ghost Gun”, with one (1) round in the chamber and nineteen(19) rounds in the magazine.

Rogers is to be charged withCarry a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without FID Card, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D. Ronald Rogers is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
