BREAKING: Boston Homicide Unit Rolls to East Boston Shooting That Left Man in Critical Condition

At approximately 20:20 hours Sunday evening, Boston Police Officers from District A-7 and Boston EMS responded to the area of 808 Saratoga Street in East Boston for reports of a person shot. On arrival Officers located an adult male victim suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting.

EMTs and Paramedics quickly arrived and found at least one gun shot wound to the lower extremities. He was stabilized on scene and transported to a local area trauma center for further treatment. His injuries are considered to be critically life threatening at this time.

Due to the seriousness of the victim’s condition, full notifications were made. Investigators from the Homicide Unit as well as Crime Scene Response Unit and District Detectives all responded to the scene.

A pool of blood and spent shell casings could be seen on the street corner where the man was shot. Patrolmen from A-7 canvased the area for additional evidence while the crime scene was processed. A possible suspect vehicle did flee the scene and it was described as a red Nissan which was last seen fleeing Route 1A Northbound.
