Man Turns Himself in to District B-2 Detectives After Public ID Released

On December 29th Boston Police Detectives assigned to District B-2 began asking for the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured individual in relation to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Knife) that occurred at the barbershop at 479 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester on December 29, 2021, at approximately 2:50 PM.

As Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident they continued to urge anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact them.

A few days later, Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were made aware that a subject matching the description from the public bulletin had walked into the lobby of B-2 in an attempt to turn himself in. The man was arrested and identified as Yeison Pimentel, 23, of Dorchester. The suspect was interviewed and placed in custody after presenting himself to investigators, stating that he had seen his image on bpdnews.com which had been shared in turn by our partners in the media such as Live Boston.

The suspect appeared in Roxbury District Court on charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon however that outcome is not known to us at this time.
