Officers Recover a Loaded Firearm From 18-Year-Old After a Traffic Stop in Dorchester

At about 5:40 PM, on Saturday, February 26, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), made an onsite firearm arrest after a traffic stop in the area of 632 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester.

While officers were on patrol, they observed a motor vehicle with extremely dark tinted windows traveling on Blue Hill Avenue. The motor vehicle also had a broken headlight and was missing the passenger side mirror. Officers performed a CJIS query and it was revealed that the license plate was not valid.

The officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop. The driver, later identified Elijah Pierre, 18, of Boston did not have an active driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License and Operating a Motor Vehicle after Revocation/Suspension.

During the search of the motor vehicle, officers recovered a loaded firearm on the back seat. The firearm was determined to be a Walter PPS 9mm, with one round in the chamber and four rounds in the magazine. Elija Pierre was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
