Quick Thinking BPD Officers Lift Car off of Trapped Woman

On Monday March 28, 2022 at approximately 23:00 hours, District B3 officers patrolling the area of Wales Street on-sighted an elderly woman who became trapped under a vehicle.

It appeared the sedan began rolling while the woman was attempting to exit, immediately crushing her leg and pinning her underneath the vehicle.

The incredible officers sprung in to action, and were able to lift the vehicle off of the woman’s leg. They rendered life saving emergency aid to the crushed limb as they awaited the arrival of Boston EMS.

Boston EMS transported the woman with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, to an area hospital for treatment. We at Live Boston were told, if it weren’t for the officers swift actions and the freezing temperatures on Monday night, the woman may have succumbed to her injuries on scene.

There is no further information regarding this incident, and though it remains under investigation, it appears to have been an unfortunate accident.
