INCIDENT #1: At about 6:34 AM on Saturday March 12, 2022, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Anthony Quinones, 40, of Malden, on multiple charges and outstanding warrants after responding to a call for a robbery in progress in the area of 1478 Tremont Street. The officers were alerted that the suspect had been observed on security cameras breaking into the closed store and stealing cash from the register before fleeing the area on foot. Responding officers followed the suspect’s path of flight and stopped him a short distance away at which time they recovered $160.00 in U.S. Currency along with other stolen items of value as well as three screwdrivers and a hammer from the suspect. Officers continued their investigation on scene, at which time they learned that the suspect was wanted on nine outstanding warrants on multiple counts of charges including Breaking and Entering of a Building – Nightime, Larceny from a Building, Burglary and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
The suspect was placed in custody without incident and will appear in Roxbury District Court to answer for his prior warrants in addition to the new charges of Breaking and Entering and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
INCIDENT #2: A little more than two hours later, at about 8:45 AM, detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were leaving a crime scene when they observed Marcus Peterson, 30, of Boston, standing in the area of 39 Warren Street in Roxbury. The detectives were aware that the suspect was wanted on a straight warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on charges of Larceny from the Building stemming from an ongoing investigation into a prior incident involving both Peterson and Quinones.
The suspect will appear in Roxbury District Court for Arraignment.
