Student Arrested in Possession of a Loaded Firearm on School Property

At about 9:45 AM, on Monday, March 28, 2022, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), responded to 36 Winthrop Street (The Dearborn STEM Academy) for a report of a student in possession of a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to the security office where school administrators safely secured the loaded firearm which was located in the student’s fanny pack.

Officers arrested the 16-year-old male juvenile, of Hyde Park and charged him with Delinquent to Wit Possession of a Firearm on School Property, Delinquent to Wit Possession of Ammunition and Delinquent to Wit Possession of a Loaded Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
