Investigation By E-18 Detectives Leads to the Arrest of a Male Wanted in Connection to a Road Rage Incident Involving Shots Fired

At about 10:27 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022, as part of an ongoing investigation, Detectives assigned to District E-18, along with the Youth Violence Strike Force affected an on-site Warrant Arrest of Nyshiem Shaw, 20, of West Roxbury, in the area of 1299 Commonwealth Avenue, Brighton.

Officers placed Nyshiem Shaw under arrest by virtue of a warrant, issued out of West Roxbury District Court for Two Counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Building, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Carrying a Firearm without a License.  This incident remains under investigation.

Original Incident: At about 2:13 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022, The officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) received a radio call for shots fired in the area of 40 Chittick Road in Hyde Park. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims that stated they were followed by a vehicle following a road rage incident. The victims stated that they witnessed a firearm and then heard loud pops. Responding officers located ballistic damage to the victim’s vehicle as well as spent shell casings on the street. The victims had no reported injuries.
