Boston police are investigating the circumstances that led to two people being shot on the Roxbury Jamaica Plain line. The shooting happened around 12:30 hours Friday at the corner of West Walnut Park and Columbus Avenue.
Just a few days ago, two people were shot on Walnut Park on the other side of Columbus Ave. One of the two men from that incident was declared deceased on scene.
When police arrived on Friday, they found one person shot at the scene. A second victim was found a short time later. Both of the victims from Friday’s incident are expected to survive their injuries. On scene police officers could be seen collecting evidence from the area and using K-9s to investigate.
Neighbors who live in the area said they were not surprised by what had happened. Police would not release any information about the shooting, only saying that it was under investigation. At this time no arrests have been made.
