Late Night Drive-By Leaves Roxbury Neighborhood Shaken

At approximately 23:00 hours Wednesday nigh, April 20 2022, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 responded to a ShotSpotter activation for at least 11 rounds in the area of Brunswick Street in Roxbury. As Officers were responding, multiple 911 calls began to flood operations, reporting a blue colored sedan had just shot up the block before taking off.

Luckily, when units arrived on scene there was no victims and no evidence of anyone getting hurt in the drive-by shooting. They did however discover multiple spent shell casings.

District B-2 Detectives responded to the scene where they marked, photographed and collected the ballistic evidence. Detectives also documented the damage to parked cars and homes from the flying barrage of bullets. Additionally Officers canvases the area for cameras and witnesses, hoping to have captured the shooting as it happened.

At this time the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. The Boston Police Department would not provide any further information on the matter at this time. Neighbors in the area could be heard telling police that they were tired of the never ending shootings, and fearful for what the summer months will bring as violences already has seemingly spiked across the city this spring.
