At about 3:12 pm Monday, April 4, 2022, Officers assigned to District B3 (Mattapan/ Dorchester) received a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 981 Morton Street and made an on-site firearm arrest of a 15-year-old juvenile male.
Officers received a 911 call that a male was in the area of 981 Morton Street in Mattapan was in possession of a firearm. Officers, provided with a description by the 911 caller, searched the area of the above location and located the juvenile male in the area of Morton Street and Woodmere Street. Officers conducted a pat-frisk of the male and recovered an unloaded firearm.
The firearm was determined to be a firearm was a SCCY CPX-2 9mm Semi-Auto with laser sight and red dot sight.
The juvenile male is to be charged with Delinquent to wit: Unlawful possession of a firearm and is to be arraigned in Dorchester District Juvenile Court.
