Here at @LiveBoston617, we are a small team of former and current Boston public safety professionals with a wide range of skills and experience including law enforcement, emergency medicine and firefighting. We have a passion unlike any other, and a drive to tell the stories of Boston’s first responders.

Cam G.
Executive Director and Co-Founder
Starting in EMS in high school, Cam continued his work in Emergency Services working in the Boston, Quincy, and Brockton areas. While working, he attended Boston University, studying emergency management. He has an extensive background in advanced prehospital medical care, incident management, crisis communications, and public relations. After sustaining an on the job injury, he began his work in operations, eventually becoming the compliance officer for a large EMS system. After leaving public service, Cam was recruited by one of the largest healthcare companies in the country to manage and grow their public safety oversight from a corporate level. Working across almost 30 different states, he transformed their system into what is in use today. He returned to Boston in early 2019 with a desire to give back to the first responder community that he began his career in, launching the change of @LiveBoston617 into the non-profit it is today.

Katelyn F.
Director of Relations
In 2016, Katie began her clinical career as an EMT-B in Greater Boston, before graduating with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Health Science in 2018. She would tack on experiences working PB/ALS assists, and as an ED technician and ED scribe, before pursuing a Master of Science degree at Northeastern University in Boston. She simultaneously supports all aspects of full-time care in the Trauma/Burn Surgery services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Level I Trauma Center). She completed her master’s degree this past year in Biomedical Sciences, and her background equips her with an incredibly broad and unique understanding of the healthcare and EMS systems we support. Her understanding of the science that governs the protocols and care delivered to patients by first responders is integral to positive outcomes. She has an ability to sense the potential barriers to care on emergency scenes, and consistently ensures public safety and privacy. Katie helps to advocate for, and protect the privacy of, the victims involved in the emergencies to which we respond and document.
